can i sample directly off my vestax handytrax??

You can sample off anything that makes noise.

Either via a microphone or line connection.

Depending on the Machine you mention, you'll probably need either a jack lead, stereo jack lead, or stereo RCA phonograph to stereo jack.

Check your connections, read the specs on the korg site. You could have done that in the time I just took to write this...

so it needs 1/4 mono jacks to rca i guess... where the hell do you find these kinds of cables??i checked every music and electronic store near me and they dont have anything with 1/4 mono jacks

You can buy couple of RCA-jack adapters, and then use simplest 2RCA-2RCA cable.

Etc etc

Guessing there would be plenty on eBay as well.

HandyTrax is one of the few turntables you can sample directly from, as it has its own RIAA preamp built in, and outputs from the RCA connectors at standard line level. Most other turntables require an external preamp before the sampler. :)
