Hellow Fellows

is there a way to send only a click sound to the drummer in song mode?
i know that if it is possible, then it has something to do with the assignable outputs but i just don't know how to set thing up

Thanks in advance for any help

On the KORG M3 you can route the Metronome to the assignable outs by using the “Bus (Output) Select” option in Song (Sequencer) mode. Maybe you have the same function on your Pa2X.

If not.... you can still route one of the sequencer tracks to one of the assignable outputs in Global Mode. All you have to do then is just record a clicking noise into the track for the drummer to listen to.

Sharp.

Thank you for replaying Sharp

as far as i know Sequencer mode cannot load&play MP3 files and and i have some backing tracks in MP3 format,i guess the only way to play them is in Song mode.

If you are talking about sending click to drummer while playing MP3 files, then there is no way - PA2 does not know anything about the MP3 song tempo/rhythm. You just have to send all MP3 sound.

While playing MIDI filies or styles live you can set up sending drums "As Drum Category" (instead default "As Track") in Global -> Audio Setup -> Drum. Then you can send individual drumset instruments (e.g. kick or hihat) to Out 1 or Out 2 for drummer.

Your MP3 must be at a fixed tempo (BPM).

I have a backing track (audio) which was created from a MIDI originally (fortunately - it was at a fixed 115bpm)
I created a click track (MIDI - 115bpm) and then used my laptop (Adobe Audition) to play the audio backing and the MIDI in sync. The MIDI output went via the MIDI interface and the audio track directly through audio out. I am sure there may be better ways but this worked for me. I am currently trying to rebuild the original MIDI of the song - then I can use the PA2XPro.
Unfortunately you cannot play MP3 and click track from the PA2Xpro.

Cheers
