Hi there, just thought I'd introduce myself. I mainly play guitar although I'm interested in keys and synths to create textures and backing tracks to play over.

Hi! Good place to be then. KORG's boards usually have really sweet pads with lots of depth and motion, in my (limited) experience.

And dude...since you're a guitar player...tell me you've seen <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Be ... ents">Matt Bellamy's Manson guitar</a> with the KP2.

It's pretty cool, even if you don't like Muse.

certainly have! i love muse. have ordered a monotron as the ribbon keyboard should allow for some (budget) atmospheric bellamy-esque action

would have loved to get a microkorg or some other larger keyboard or synth but space is really an issue for me at the moment.
