Well this is my first post here at Korg Forums, and as with everyone who makes their first post, I have a problem.

The Edit Select 2 pot on my microkorg has issues...
The knob has come loose off the axel, to the extent that I can pull it off. I screwed the secret screw as tight as I could screw, but it still insists upon loosening itself after a few day:( No visible damage to any component, except the paint has come off the tip of the screw.

So what is the solution, my experienced fellow korgforum users? Will i have to get a new pot? or simply replace the screw?

You have a few options here I guess.

1: If it's under warranty, give KORG UK and shout on the phone and ask them how they would like to solve this issue for you. Be it them sending you a new Pot, Knob and screw or you simply bringing it to an authorised service centre.

You see there's a red cream electronics engineers can put in the threads of the screw that when they put the screw back into place, the cream on the threads sets and prevents the screw from coming loose again.

2: If your out of your warranty you can order a replacement part from KORG UK.

3: Try buy some of the cream yourself or walk into a electronics repair shop and ask them to put a little on a screw. If they try charge you for this, I'd be very surprised. Should only take them seconds to do this for you. If you want to try get some of the cream yourself, believe it or not, the plumbing section of Woodies has all sorts of scream like this. A tiny tube for gas leaks and just a single drop on the threads would be enough.

So you have a few options there and at least one mad Gas leak suggestion

Well of course contacting korg is the obvious answer, why didn't I think of that:) I suppose I thought it was too minor an issue, but now that you mention it, I will contact them today
