once you turn off the m50 or go somewhere else its gone forever..you will have to save it to your sd card.First this is to rename the track..the upper right hand arrow..hit that and you will see rename...Once you rename the track go to Media,Lower left click save ..the back to the upper right arrow, click save save all (pcg & seq) on the top it will say new file..click that to rename ur song identical to the name in sequence mode..then click ok ..and ok again if it ask you to..To pull up that track from ur sd card..go to Media, then load,,you should see it there..load it up and it should be there in sequence mode...this is the best way i can explain it ..

Now that I think of it, is true. Is not really very straightforward to save songs from sequence mode using the media mode. You must leave sequence mode in order to save them, that is not logical or practical. Media mode should be a place for backup or for loading things up on the keyboard. But sadly, is how it is, so only we can wish.
The bad thing is that if you don't save them using media mode, you'll lose them once you turn off your M50. And you must load them up prior to playing them. The good thing is you can put several songs in the sequencer, save the status and all songs get saved on a single sequence file. Load that file upon startup and you'll have your sequencer populated.

I've tried going to the media area... and i've seen the load and save options, but i can not access them! im guessing that my M50 doesn't recognize the SD card that I have in there!!!! i'll put another SD card in, try your suggestion and then see what happens! thanks for the reply

The card SHOULD be 2GB or less, and NOT SDHC. Just regular SD.

My Kingstone 1GB SD card does not work on my M50 but Transcend 2 GB works!! So changing your SD might work!

Tek is correct. That is a great explanation. I just figured out how to do it myself. I haven't figured out the subcategories and things, but I'll work on that later.
Me? It took losing all 13 tracks of NIN Closer for me to realize that saving the sequence internally only saves the tracks and settings, not the information. Needless to say, 3 hours later and for only $10, I now have the song saved correctly.
However, I'm still a little nervous to mess with saving songs in different cue lists. Any insights? My manual keeps referencing page 206, etc. and it only goes to 120 or some nonsense. I'm assuming I can save differents songs in different cue lists by genre, or by which project I've learned each song for, etc...no? Sorry to take over the topic, but this is a good one.

It will be referencing the
parameter guide, not the user manual. There is usually a different icon/image besides references to either book. Anyway the PG is not printed, you will find it on the CD or online. It is very useful because it explains the purpose of each element on every screen.

Thank you very much! That'll be a HUGE help. I have not looked at disk yet. I will tonight!
