New to Korg

Post by Jack7 »

Hello!
I am new to Korg and hardware synthesizers in general. I am thinking of buying a MircoKorg, but need some help. I'm a little on the new side of audio. I've used Logic Express 8 for a little more than a year now, so I'm fairly experienced with those types of software instruments and what that program offers.

Now, for the question. Is the MicroKorg good for me, with that type of limited audio experience? Is this synthesizer good for someone who would just like to toy around and have fun, and not professionally record?

Thanks so much in advance.

Absolutely. Synthesizers are a load of fun!

The interface is a little limited though. I mean, it was perfectly fine for me, but you can pick up a second hand MS2000 (exactly the same sound engine) for almost the same price as a new microKorg.

Having all those extra knobs just makes it even more fun for tweaking and designing your own sounds.
