My first post here.

I have a Korg 707 I just recently got that has a problem, None of the keys work, it powers up fine, it makes sounds if i midi to another keyboard, I opened it up hoping there was just a loose wire, it seem the PCB board on top of the keys looks burnt or severely oxidized on one side.

It is a Yamaha part, I contacted both Yamaha and Korg, and can't seem to find this PCB. It is a 23 yer old keyboard.

Can anyone point me to the right direction here?

I bought this hoping to use it for talkboxing.

I wish i can actually find one of THOSE, the whole keyboard.
I used to have and play one back in 1990-1992, sweet machine.

Yes it is.

I am able to play it through a midi controller, the pitch and mod wheels work, all the buttons work, but the keyboard is not functioning.

It is very FM.

I love FM synthesis, it sits so nice in a mix, while the world has gone "analog" crazy, paying exhorbitant amounts for buzzy old analog synths, I would rather listen to a nice smooth FM lead, sounds sweeter to my ears.

Still trying to get the part. It's a PCB that looks burnt/oxidized whick looks to be the problem. I need to open it up and take pics to send to Korg parts distributors, and Yamaha parts dept.

Hi ilyas,
maybe I could help you. Send me an email if the problem still exists!
