Aug OSAM, Fugue on the name Alain, ellll

Post by ellll »

Hello again,

It is my hope that a performance is O.K. for a month offering. This is a Fugue by Maurice Durufle, from his Prelude and Fugue On The Name, Alain.

Jehan Alain was another French Organ Composer and was lost in the battles at the time of the resistance in the Second World War.. at age 29 .. This is played on my O1W, manuals, then pedal separate... using voices from a British disk of French Cavaille-Coll organs...GREAT!!! real pipe voices! The disk includes voices from St. Sernin, Notre Dame, St Ouen and a few others... and uses a 32' bombarde at the end, and a Tuba Miraibilis for the ending solos, starting at the great reed entrances just past the middle...

Maybe someone will enjoy, and I get to count it for a month right ? (I Think)

My best to all, John (ellll)
