so...

dell m1710 laptop
xp pro sp 3
ableton live 8 suite 1.1.1
apc40
lexicon omega
padkontrol

I can get everything but the padkontrol to work. I have tried the 1.11 drivers and am now using the 1.12 drivers.

the drivers are there

windows sound/adio sees the drivers/device

but if I look a bit closer at properties i see this:

I have spent several hours trying different things, and have gotten nowhere... any ideas? I look in the device manager and it doesn't say there is a conflict or anything... just that "the drivers are there, they are enabled, but they aren't working correctly" .. not much to go on :(

any imput appreciated

oh what my midi preference options are:

I just realised you've been posting the same question multiple times. you should have started a new topic like this in the first place and waited. re-posting your question and hijacking other people's threads won't help you.

Anyway, it seems like some kind of driver problem. Its probably easy to solve sat down in front of it, but not so easy to solve like this.

I would suggest you talk to your country's KORG support, whoever that may be provided by. This is only an unofficial user forum and you're unlikely to get much further help on such a complex issue here.

You are correct, and I apologized in one of them for spamming.

been a long frustrating day, but that doesn't excuse spamming.

aha! thanks for pointing me in the right direction this isn't something I ever would have thought of, I would have ignored it to because this thread is about Vista (i have xp)

but it worked for me

http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=32888

it was the registry 10 limit issues. the padkontrol was in slot 15 so I deleted a bunch of usb audio devices holding slots 3-8 and viola.

I owe you a beer

cheers, mate.
