Can I assign karma M3 GE's to preset combi's???

Post by Inksta »

Please can anybody tell me if I can assign the GE's from Karma M3 software to the preset combi's on my M3??
If so, could you please explain how? I'm relatively inexperienced and I can't make much sense of the Karma M3 software or the M3 Editor software.
Any help would be much appreciated as I don't know where to start.

Many Thanks

First of all, the KM3 Software doesn't come with new GEs, so I'm assuming you want to use your own "user-created" GEs?!

The M3 has 1024 locations where you can store your own GEs.
(1) You need to transfer a GE from the KM3 software to your M3.
(2) Then select a combi and just replace an existing GE with your own GE (P0: Play -> KARMA GE tab). Refer to page 127 and pages 163ff for more information.

The GEs that come with the KARMA M3 software are, as orpheus has somewhat stated, not "new" - they are duplicates of all the GEs that are currently in the M3. So yes, you can assign them, simply by selecting them in the M3. One difference is that in the KM3 software, GEs are organized into banks of 128. In the M3, the preset GEs are a single list running from 0 to 2000 something (not at the m3 right now).

To "convert" a KARMA M3 GE location to an M3 location, simply take the bank number X 128 and add the GE number.

Example: Bank 4, GE #23 = 4 * 128 + 23 = GE 0535.
