Downloaded Pro Vintage Keys Collections for the M50,LOAD?

Hi. I downloaded the Pro Vintage Keys to my SD Card, inserted the card into the M50, hit the Media button and the files are there. But there doesn't seem to be a way to assign them to which bank I want to load them into. Since all the Program banks have the factory sounds pre-installed, can't I load them into the Combi User Banks C or D?

There doesn't seem to be anyway to do this. If I install the Vintage Keys into the Program banks, they will rewrite them and if possible would like to run them in Combi mode. Is that possible?

Thanks for any help.

I think the default location for these programs is Program Bank E 95-127, which was empty when the M50s shipped. Do they not appear there automatically?

Hi, you are absolutely correct. I manually copied each Vintage Rhodes/Clavs into Prg Bank E. I think it started at 096-127. Great stuff there. Nothing was overwritten in Bank E because the directory up to E095 was already full and had the blank space left to add the Vintage Instruments.

Now I have more Rhodes/Clavs than ever and they all sound great.

How would you compare them to the Nord Stage piano or Electro 2-3?

Here: http://www.korg.com/Product.aspx?pd=413

Go to the "Support" tab, and then scroll down to the bottom of the page for the file. Well worth it!

It's a GREAT Holiday weekend project, listening to these setups.

Very interesting really. Take a look at the actual settings within each program. I even played around with many of them, which helped me to better understand what does what.

wait a second... Stop right there... Are you actually saying that you CAN somehow load new sounds to the m50? Everyone says it can't be done! Please explain this! Thanx

These are not new "sounds" as such, but rather new programs based on the internal ROM. And to think: any owner of the M50 could have done the same thing all by himself! But they're the professional programmers, after all...

I am still hoping someone will offer a set of vintage organs like the vintage Rhodes pianos and clavs. Still need more usable B-3, Hammond simulations which are really needed by many of us M50 owners.

Hey kiked. Where are your organ downloads site you mentioned? Are they here somewhere on the forum or on the official Korg site? You did a fine M50 job on the organs you had on the youtube clip.

Thanks for your help
