Korg sells some Smartmedia cards themselves:
http://www.korgusa.com/korgusa/items.asp?Cc=ETC&Bc=. But you pay $70 for only 64 MB.
Or you can get a 128 MB xD card and a Smartmedia to xD adapter.

I paid $70 for two 128 MB Smart Media cards on ebay, but that was well over a year ago. xD seems to be the wiser choice right now.

You should search Amazon.com......Tons of SM cards for sale, at affordable prices.
I recently just ordered a few off there.

Yeah what I wrote in the same thread:
When I was looking for smart media cards for my ESX the cheapest I found was:
http://www.mymemory.co.uk/SmartMedia/Sa ... patible%29
New smart media 128 mb for 21£ or ~24€. I never bought any though because a friend gave me 2 64 mb cards for free.
I think thats the best tip, just ask around everyone you know, all the people at work etc. Ask if they have an old digital camera at home just laying around and ask them what card it used. Someone will have it and you will get it for free or very cheap!
I think mymemory.co.uk is the cheapest place 21£, ~24€ or ~36 USD and free worldwide delivery. Like I said though, I never shoped there so I cant say anything about their service, delivery time etc.

Cool, Ya, I saw that too but saw it was in the UK, so I figured I'd post what I found for a US site. I just ordered one on Sunday night and they are shipped it out last night (Monday). Should be here in a day or two. Not too bad turnaround.

They are described as picture cards for cameras...does that matter?

OK is this what you mean?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... -_-Product
they are calling it a smart card ADAPTOR. Not sure what that's about. Do I have to buy the card somewhere else or is it part of the package?/

That looks like a card and an adapter. You just need the card (32MB to 64MB).

That price looks to low BTW!

so if I got that, I'd be able to use just the card?
sorry... just not up to speed on "old" technology" , it's bad enough trying to keep up with the NEW stuff
That price is right! If it was the wrong thing, no great loss.
I can't see buying it from Korg for 70 bucks though!!

Yup, that looks like a deal than, I'd go for it!
Yeah, with the SM cards always make sure their 3.3V and atleast 32MB's for the ESX. I believe a fully loaded ESX takes up atleast 24MB's of space on a single 32MB card.
Have you checked ebay and amazon yet for some SM cards? You probably wont find any that cheap, but at any given time they always have alot of new and used ones readily available.

According to the EMX-1 manual on Page 76:
The EMX-1 uses 3V (3.3v) SmartMedia in a range of 4MB-128MB capacity.

The smart media card ADAPTER needs an xD card. Buy some xD 128MB cards. You can get them for $10 at upgradenation.com (like I said in the other post).
It's listed as "Link Depot XD-SMC 1 card Interface xD Card to Smart Media Card Adapter" You put the xD card in the Smart Media Card Adapter.

Is it possible to get a San Disk adapter to smart media?? I have a 2 gig SD card, and if i can just buy an adapter that would seem like the most economical choice..I haven't found anything yet though
