Korg Zero 8 Discontinued

Just got word from Musicians Friend that the Zero 8 is discontinued.
I placed an order week before last for a Zero 8. They did a nice price match and told me the unit was back ordered until the 10th. I checked in on it today to see if they were still arriving on schedule. They said that Korg told them yesterday the line is discontinued and no more units would ship.
What a shame. Even with the (debatable) noise issues, this has to be the coolest mixer ever built. Firewire, stereo channels, touchscreen/kaoss pad, blinkin lights! What a bummer. I was really looking forward to setting it up in my system and reviewing it on my blog.
Anyone have any recommendations on an alternative unit?
