Newbie Greetings! Q's re: S3 SEQUENCING

Howdy! For live performing, I've been searching for a sequencer that can handle midi the way a looper handles audio; i.e., to record midi data in real time, then play it back repeatedly with as few keystrokes as possible. Auto-quantizing would also be advantageous. The S3 seems a candidate thus far, but...
* Can it accept midi clock (tempo) while recording?...or if clock input stops, can it stay set for the last clock data it received until it's changed?
* HOW MANY MEASURES IS THE RECORD LIMIT and how many notes?
* How many tracks can be recorded? and can they be individually muted? (This would enable recording the chords of a verse & chorus & bridge, then selectively playing them back later in the song, for soloing over them, etc.)
Thanks for any advice or links!
