From the "Media - Erase" screen

Select SSD-S as the device (bottom left)

Select ALL folder, press OPEN
Select STYLE folder, press OPEN
Select FAVORITE03, USER04 or whatever, press OPEN
Select the Style name you want to Erase, press ERASE

Best regards,

Factory styles

Post by LarMorgan »

Does this same method work for the factory styles I don't use, assuming I have turned off the write protection in global? Thanks.

Yes it works, but it may not be a good idea to do it. Whenever there is an OS update or a need to relead the OS, the factory locations will be restored to factory setting sonce more. So editing or deleting factory locations can be counter productive. Also there is no good way of saving the changes you make to factory settings.

Hi LarMorgan, I have all my factory banks full of changed styles, my styles and converted styles. I have all the Banks saved on the hard drive and usb as designated Bank's 01-17 + everything else. I've just had to format my pa and reload the OS and Resources [testing software] which has put the Factory Banks back to Default. I just simply re-loaded in my saved modified Factory Banks and 'ALL' my other linked files, Songbook, Favourites and User Bank etc and everything is back to how I want it. I don't have any issues with this at all...It is exactly as it was before the Format.... Hope that's of Help! :)

RE: Protection. You turn the Factory Style's protection off on 'Media Screen' -> Preferences Tab....Untick Factory styles box. :!:

Thanks Keith. Just to be specific, what method do you use to backup your modified factory banks to HD or memory stick?

Hi jg:: All that you need to do is uncheck the factory style protection and then Media screen -> Save Tab -> Highlight ALL and open -> Scroll down to 'Styles' and open, you will see all 17 Factory Banks numbered 01-17. Copy them Individually to Hard Drive/usb stick as you would any other bank...Even If you save 'ALL' with factory protection turned off the factory banks won't be saved to your 'ALL' Backup. They have to be done manually Bank by Bank.... :)

Thank you for the advice. This forum is great! I have also ordered the Arranger DVD set from the US distributor, and I am really looking forward to seeing those.

Ha! Right now, my expectations are a lot lower than that. But hope springs eternal!
