Help with Korg M50

Post by stan_hart »

Hi hope someone can point me in the right direction! I've just purchased a M50 to do some basic recordings with it. Can anyone tell me how to create a drum backing track from a song that i'm learning with a band. Also is it possible to transfer a song from mini disk to the M50 and edit things such as bass line, drums etc.

Thanks in advance :_)

Drum Track sequencing is something that even im clueless with, have raised this question in the forum as well. but still unable to wade through.

For your second question - Yes, if the song is in Midi or SNG format you can have it in the SD card, load it onto your M50, make changes and save it back into the SD card.

Regarding Drum Tracks, I just finished a video that I hope will help:

About your "mini disk," is it a Sony MiniDisc? If so, I'm guessing the songs are stored as audio, and not data. The M50 doesn't sample, so see if you can find the song as a MIDI file, put it on the SD card, and load it from MEDIA mode.
