Hi,
I'm new to synth's in general but even newer to the R3. I'm trying to create a really fat, nearly realistic cello sound with a lot of vibrato and natural "bow-to-string" sound on the initial attack. Anyone got any tips?

Hi,

use FM for the initial of the sound and try a little bit rectification in the end. Maybe you like tou read the article in SOS Synth Secrets series on strings.

You might start with my Bowed Strings patch that you can download here. It will get you started with something close that you can modify to fine tune it.
