Hi from Melbourne - need some assistance with Triton Extreme

Hi - Im attempting to update my OS on the triton extreme, I am using the direct connect to pc via USB option. My pc reads the triton as a removable disk, and when I attempt to open it or drag files to it - it receives the error msg "please insert disk into drive".
Any advice would be much appreciated ,cheers.
