hey everyone, I am knew to this forum, and kind of new to Korgs, I have a question that has been troubling me for a while:

I have to replace the internal battery to a Korg Triton Extreme, because it is giving me the 'Your IC Calendary battery is at low voltage" sign and I know it is a CR2032. However, I am nervous to replace it because I haven't found an answer on if it will initialize the whole keystation. Will I lose all of my sounds? I am asking because I don't have the cards to put the sounds back on. Can anyone please tell me the proper procedure for doing this. After I replace the battery, what will happen? Thanks again for your time and effort into answering this.

Jeff, it takes 30 seconds to replace and you won't lose a thing, it doesn't have anything to do with your sounds :)

What happens after you add the New battery? No more annoying message that it's low on start up is what you get

** Remove the Moss cover on the bottom and you'll see the old battery.

**Page 324 of the Parameter guide walks you thru it. If you don't have the guide, Download it here...

I had to replace mine when it arrived from the seller, I was nervous as well but it couldn't be easier. Let us know how it went

Hey thanks a lot for your reply! I haven't even gone to work yet to do it! You made me feel a lot better about this simple procedure. I want to really get into Korg's stuff more, because I just became a new backline tech for the company I work for down here, and we have 2 Tritons, the M1, 01W, and a whole lot of weird synths, and I have to learn them all! So thanks again for your valuable information!

No problem Jeff and welcome to the Korg family. Beware, Korg products are addicting so if you end up with a house full of toys, just remember you were warned

Have a good one
