Deleting files from SD Card

Post by slawson »

Is there anyway to delete files from the SD Card directly from the M50?

You can 'delete' all files by doing a full or quick format of the card, but as far as I know you can't delete individual files on the M50. You must do this from a computer.

I don't know specifically about the M50, but on triton series boards (like my TR),
you have at least three tabs in media mode: 'load', 'save', and 'utility'. the delete option is in the 'utility' tab. they are all the same view i.e. a file list, but the menu you get when you select something is different...
Think there is also another mode with format options and that...

is that similar on the M50 and M3?

You are correct. I just checked again, and in Media mode, in the Utility tab, there's a delete option on the drop-down menu. When I checked yesterday I just saw the Load and Open options on the page and neglected to check the menu ...

thanks folks! I will check the utility tab when i get back home after work.

i hope this is the case...i sure don't want to have to take the card in and out of the M50 just to "clean it up" every so often.

thanks again
