Turn the [Knob Function Select] dial to Full Edit.
Turn [Knob1] to the Global Page
Turn [Knob2] to the PROTECT parameter
Turn [Knob3] to ON.

Then follow page 31 to write the Global data.

I should point out that I don't have an MKXL. I got all this from the manual.

I'm confused about this too. There doesn't seem to be a "Protect" page under global options. The manual does not explain how to do this.

same problem here

Set the main dial to full edit.
Turn the first Page knob to global Mst Tune.
Turn the second parameter knob.
Turn the third value knob to off.

It's not in MY manual

Thank you VERY much!

This is not in the PDF manual downloaded from the Korg site. My synth is brand new and I was going nuts trying to figure this out.
