Anyone know of a good stand to use for the Electribe? Ideally, I would like to have this thing on its own stand, and on something sturdy so I wont have to worry about it falling off? Is this a custom order? Anyone got any ideas??

you mean a stand for just a single Electribe and nothing else? do you want something for on your desk, or a floor stand? how about a regular single-tier X stand with a short shelf on top? i use a two-tier X stand: the lower tier supports a shelf with 2 Electribes and a Revolution, while the top has another shelf with three more Electribes. works great, and it's very sturdy.

then yeah, look at the X stand with a shelf on top. inexpensive, and very effective.

i was hoping for something with no bottom tier... i might just end up putting it on a music stand and securing it somehow... i wanna be able to drag it around a bit...

yeah, that's why i mentioned "single-tier" in my first post. you don't have to use a shelf; i've seen people just lock the stand into a very narrow X and just rest a small synth or Electribe on top. there are rubber rests on top which are pretty grippy, but obviously the smaller the footprint, the more prone to tipping it's gonna be. X stands fold up flat and are really easy to travel with too.



i've seen people use music stands, but i never really liked the angle, and i feel like those are just as unstable, if not more, since they're intended for holding a very light load.

another good thing to try would just be a folding TV tray; like an X stand with a top shelf built-in, like this:



or you might even try a laptop tray:



the reason i think you're better off with a standard (again, single-tier) X stand is that you can always add a wider shelf and hold more synths or boxes on it later on, without having to buy something again. who knows what the future may bring.

+1 , I used that for my ER-1 at band practice back when I was in a band

i think music stands kinda suck if you're prone to pressing on the pads with any sort of enthusiasm. the equipment on top makes them top-heavy as well, which they're not designed for, so keep that in mind...

maybe try to find wall mounted flexible grip. wall mounted arms has two major pros:
- save space
- have flexible arm you can swing left/right/back/forward

but buying something like that you should pay attention if arms its well fitted each other. it's essencial for work comfort.

i've experienced it's very annoying when you gear swings up/down during expressive pads hit.

You could use a snare drum stand? You would have to make sure it goes high up though.

Are you gonna use it sitting down or standing up?

actually i have one,is a quick-lock stand,you can put it vertical and horizontal,you can change the angle,so whatever you want,and i am selling it,if you interested let me know and ill send you a picture and price

I use one of these. Ikea Dave. £15. You can adjust the angle.

that table that you are using,is just a table at the end,is does not give you any versatility,i will show you what i am talking about,basically this stand is made thinking in a musician,it was made originally for the MC- series of roland,the tray itself can be,adjusted,in horizontal and vertical,then you can adjust the altitude, and the angle as well, you can achieve any position,the bad news is that is been discontinued, and it was not cheap,the good news is i will sell it to you if you want, the price is £100 if you interested give me a shout.
