M50 M1 Piano is the real deal...

Post by John Hendry »

Wow….the M50 can sound just like the M1 piano….and better…and together an octave apart I now see why people liked it so much….I didn’t care for it and passed it by as real pianos are cheap by weight but their sound is alive with real strings and usually ditch the idea of trying to synth it, but I stand on new and higher grounds humbled adding the M50. Really like this Board….look underneath…it has a place to run a carbon fiber spar and those aluminum ends look like a fun project playing with a CNC milling machine so its not all plastic my mind anymore, and there’s some metal in there…it has screws;-)

But where is Lunerpad Combi 89? Some say it is the best sound on the M1….it was a beginning with the required voices and more control coming later for me. But it will take time to get it right. It’s a great clock and controls ambient space well…a lot going on to program…wonder who created the first incarnation of it at Korg.

I wonder what Jerry could come up with matching my hours in a few minutes…..5:43AM and my minutes are over for now.

Hey John!

Of you don't have those new programs/combi's available on the Korg Site,,, GET THEM ASAP!!!

It might be slow on dial-up, but just start downloading them, and go find something else to do..

Seriously. If you like going thru listening to programs/combis,,, you will have a BLAST listening to them.

Also, keep in mind MANY (But not all) the M3 programs/Combis will work on the M50.. It NEVER hurts to try M3 sounds...

Enjoy!

Respectfully,
Mike
