Another new old-guy

Greetings from the frozen tundra of central Illinois!

I'm a 56 year old semi-retired musician who has been gigging since 1968. Played pretty much every style of music since then that would make me any money. Was on the road through most of the 70's and early 80's, playing over 250 gigs per year. These days I just do a couple or three gigs per month as well as write an occasional radio jingle, some local session work, and sound-consulting work. I also play a little bass guitar and ethnic percussion.

My biggest influences are Keith Emerson, Donald Fagen, Michael McDonald, Vangelis, and David Arkenstone.

When I'm not making music, I enjoy golf, target-shooting, gardening, astronomy, history, and movies (especially old 50's sci-fi).

Boss SE50 fx processor

Amplification - (2) Yamaha MS300's active speakers, (1) JBL JRX100 18" active subwoofer, Samson MPL2242 mixer (which I'll soon be replacing with a Mackie ProFX12)

Software that I use: Cakewalk Pro Audio 9, Steinberg WaveLab and Cubase AI4
