What other Korg synths would you like to see?

Post by Hugo »

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more synths like the DS-10. In fact, I'd even consider buing another Nintendo DS in case another synth was released, so that I could sync the two together.

What other synths do you think it would be possible to emulate for the Nintendo DS? I'm guessing the DS-10 probably pushes the Nintendo's processors to the limit.

Maybe they could consentrate even more power to the synth sections by limiting the drum parts?

an electribe-based sampling program would be cool

DS-ESX

Esp. since now that the DSI has a slot for memory card..

I doubt they're gonna do more than one though.

Hey Blitz,
Yeah, a sampler would definately be very, very cool :D
I'm also thinking it should be possible to implement all sorts of Korg technology within the Nintendo's limitations. How about something like the Polysix or Wavestation - with the DS-10 that would amount to a legacy collection for the Nintendo ;)

How about a Karma or the KARMA technology? I think that would be pretty awesome.

Hmm, I kinda doubt that Karma tech would find its way to the Nintendo. For starters it's probably too 'expensive' a technology, and also, what synths would it drive?
But I definately wouldn't mind it, though! :D

SAMPLES SAMPLES!!!

Post by FranzK »

Yes indeed! Or even a DS10 ES-1
(Because DSi probably can't run as many functions as an ESX / EMX )

You'd think they would have put samples in FIRST,
because it's MUCH easier to write a sampler
(or at least a ROMpler) for todays computers than a virtual analog synth

I've got an DS-10 too and I like it.
But i guess this is a dead end.

I have an ipod touch with
an music editor Xewton. it exports midi.
http://www.xewton.com/
there is a synthesizer for ipod called jasuto pro
this has a Vst-Plugin on the desktop side so you can transfer the sounds to the PC.
http://www.jasuto.com/site/
Korg has release an app for the ipad called
iElectribe. no data-exchange 'til now.

Would you get any export on a new synth on nintendo which you can process on your pc?
