I have an intel based mac and it will not receive program dump from radias. I am running the version 2.0 update and software recognizes midi connection but will not receive or deliver programs. I keep getting the message Device inquiry error. If anyone can help that would be great.

Check if you USB-Cable is not longer than 2metres otherwise use an Repeater-USB Cable.
That was my problem.

Also be sure you have the latest version of the Korg USB MIDI driver. (I think it's 1.0.8). I have the same setup, and the MIDI port options are different than yours.

Mine lists "RADIAS - KBD/KNOB" for MIDI IN, and "RADIAS - SOUND" for MIDI OUT. There's no option for "RADIAS DUMP..." in my version.

The RADIAS is a relatively new device, so to have the correct profile, you need the latest driver. You can get the latest version here.

Do you have both the Radias Firmware at 2.0 and the updated editor software for 2.0 with the added destinations???
is sysex in global set to on and saved???
Did you try the 2 other ports???(radiasKnob/kbd)
Midi in is at the Midi in of the radias...
Midi out is at the out of the radias...

this will not help with the usb transfer

OKay....
Just make sure you don't use midi in and midi out as your connection ports....

it should be "radias sound" and "radias knob".....

The problem is I dont get the knob/sound option. Only radias (dump) update. I hate the compatibility with hardware and software, it seems to be a persistent problem.

The Korg Radias Editor is a Control panel for the Radias....
Can't its knob movements (CC# and preset selection on editor)be recorded in cubase4 as CC# events through its multple Midi ports???

Radias Dump is not a valid port...if you don't see the Sound/Knob options something is not properly installed (doh).

Are you running Leopard? Make sure you have the latest version of both the USB drivers and editor available from Korg's website. There were problems with earlier versions and Leopard.
