1.Hey so i set for example a pattern to length of 8. I play in the sequencer in step 1 en step 2 a synth part(from 8 steps in total). (By a(one) step i mean all 16 hits). Can i copy step 1 en step 2 to the rest of the full pattern(8 steps). So i got a full pattern? If so how do i pull this off?

2.Also for instance i want to do a cover. I play the bass part in, but it takes one and half step to complete the full cover. So i change the length of the pattern to 2 steps. But then the song isnt in good order anymore. I have to wait a half step to let the pattern start over again, is there a way around this?

stop the emx playback. press shift-2 and the display will say Move. Turn the main dial (next to the display) so it says Repeat instead. Press step2 again. Turn the dial to select the length that should be repeated (in your example, 2.0) Press step2 and that length will be repeated over and over to fill up the pattern. This is on page 54 in the manual.

I am not sure what you mean exactly with your second question. Maybe you should set the tempo higher, so the pattern comes to an end faster. Press the Tap button in time with the music you want to cover. This will speed up the emx so any drum parts you may have entered will also play faster. Adding a click sound to steps 1,5,9 and 13 can help you stay in time with the emx (or turn on the metronome)

If not that, do you mean you want to end the pattern in the middle? You can set which step is the end (page 53 in the manual), but this will give you an unusual time signature, probably not what you want.
