Emx and own samples

Does anyone know if there is a hack to load your own samples into to emx ?

nope I've been looking for something like that too but of course they are pcm and built into the operating system. Essentially you would have to reverse engineer the operating system(good luck)...

Hook it up to Ableton live and use your drum midi channel to sequence a drum rack or something. This is what I do. I got sick of the built in sounds too

could you explain how to do this? I'm not very good with MIDI and using the EMX with ableton in general

If you're gonna sequence ableton drums, why not sequence a better synth as well? Ableton's sound is superior by a million to the electribes.

what do you have to do to be able to use ableton's sounds but use the electribe to manipulate/mute or unmute them like they were sounds on the actual electribe?

you have to send heavily manipulated midi messages.
