This message is for US owners of the M3 who have worn text on some of their buttons:

We have received new replacement parts from japan. If you send an email to support@korgusa.com with the buttons that have text worn off we will send you replacements free of charge. and simple instructions how to do it. Please provide the button names and your mailing info.

Also, please do not try to order multiples or whole sets to hoard. We are glad to help anyone out, but ask that you only replace actual worn buttons.

Sorry for the problem in the first place, and for the long wait while we resolved this issue.

regards,

Jerry

Excellent - I am happy to hear this news as I recently have some worn buttons.

It is excellent that Korg cares about their customers :)

That's good news for our comrades.
I wonder if there is any similiar service for the european users out there ? Or do we have to send the kbd / module in ?

While this is a good move by Korg, I think it would have been better if Korg actually issued a Revision 2 version of buttons with laser etch text on them and then have them replaced free at an authorized center. What is the guarantee that the replacement buttons won't fade off?

I have no faded text on my M3 buttons because I press the buttons from the edges...lol...and my friends laugh about it all the time...ofcourse i use the data scroll wheel and the slider a lot more than the 'up arrow' 'down arrow' switches or number buttons...

Good too see the M3-lite, i.e. M50 has text outside of the buttons...

Suggestion

I read about problem with the print on buttons, and solve that on my way before it's happened on my M3!
Actually, I put transparent tape (I raze it square shape 9x13mm) on every button.

I put the pictures on Karma-Lab site forum.

OK, I didn't get far with my question, so I'll ask anyone who has ordered the replacement parts and received them, how long was the wait for the buttons? and yes, I ordered them some weeks ago or I wouldn't be asking.

Both myself and my friend in NY got them in about 3-4 days after requesting them.

FYI - The new buttons have a dull matte finish as oppsoed to the original smooth "glassy" finish. I've already noticed the corner of the new buttons showing signs of wear.

Well more than a week goes by.....nothing, contacted them again.....nothing, the sad part about this is I live in the same state as customer service! It's all in the details, right? Normally I wouldn't waste my time, but the buttons look like crap, and I just want it to look the same as it did, the clincher is I even offered to pay!
