Ribbon Damage on my Korg TEX88

Post by D'mango »

Can anyone help, I have a slight indentation on the ribbon of my TEX88 sustained last night in a gig - which has affected the parameters of quite a lot of the sounds, has anyone encountered this problem before and if so what steps did they take to rectify it.

Assuming the Ribbon requires replacing where would I be able to source it or alternatively where can I find a list of certified Korg agents online who have sanction to carry out the repair. I had a look on the internet this morning but couldn't find any. Past experience has made me wary of taking it to "any old repair shop" as another keyboard came back in worse condition.

I am based in Manchester UK so if anyone could recommend a link or even a specific agent ( if possible) in this localityI would be most grateful
What goes around comes around - but if you have to wait as long as Haley's Comet then look for an alternative
