Yes I know that Guitar mode is already here (I USE IT ALL THE TIME FOR MY STYLES :))
I was just giving an example, that if some new feature appears in V2.0 that is has much important has Guitar Mode was for V1.5...

Hi Mauro,

To quote Korg's news release on www.korgpa.com:

"We are hard at work on a new operating system for the Pa2X Pro/Pa800 packed with exciting new features that will make you think it is a whole new keyboard. Except, we are saving you the money and putting these features into a no charge upgrade! Want to know more? Then look out for Saturday September 13 when we will be publishing details of the incredible new features we plan for OS2 – and also the date it should be available for download! Please stay tuned!"

My reading of this is that there will be more than one new feature at least as significant as guitar mode, but all of us will have to wait until Sept 13th for the details.

Should we think of this new OS as a reply to Yamaha's TYROS3 and KETRON AUDYA? Or is it expectable that KOrg is developing PA3X??? Any thoughts?

Hi Mauro,

Here's my thoughts ...

I thinks it's round the other way. Worldwide sales of Korg arranger keyboards exceed those of Yamaha and Ketron arrangers, so I suspect it is more likely that the Tyros3 and Audya are Yamaha and Ketron's response to the Korg Pa800 with OS1.x functionality. And with the introduction of the Pa2x, Pa500 and Pa588 since the Pa800 was launched, plus a new OS2.x on its way with several major new features to be announced in September, my guess is that neither Yamaha nor Ketron will catch up with Korg. I'm sure the Tyros3 and Audya will be very nice 61-key arrangers, but I think it unlikely they will have the functionality, customisation, upgrade and sample expansion capabilities of the Pa2x or the Pa800 with OSv2. Also Korg patented the dual MIDI/ MP3 player with crossfader, so I think it unlikely you will get anything as useful as this on the T3 or AUDYA.

I guess you're right!! Since I had my PA80 I thought I liked it better than Ketron SD1 for example and the price was really different from both... Korg really conquered the arranger market and is the flagship nowadays. Here in Portugal most keyboard players are changing form KETRON to KORG in a zap. (I did it 7 or more years ago when I first heard the PA80 and changed it from my Roland G800).

However let's wait for TYROS3 and see... and hear...

One more thing, I hope PA800 OS V2.00 is more stable than all other versions. I always had a CRASH PROBLEM when creating styles. It is really annoying to heve to save in every single operation because I never know when it will crash.

Hi Mauro,

If you are having problems with the OS1.60 software on your Pa800, could you write up the details in a new thread, preferably with test case data that can be used to repeat the problem? It's in all our interests to help Korg diagnose and fix any problems like this. If you want to correspond with me by private email to flesh out the details then I can support you by running similar tests on my Pa2x, maybe helping you with the write-up, but I don't have a Pa800.

How do you know?
Are you from KORG? or working there?

It will make me happy to know that your "WORDS" are secure.
And to ask if I can order the TV-OUT option meanwhile, because of your answer if the new OS will have the ability for BMP\JPJ format for lyrics.

you do not need to answer what the OS have, you can just say if I can order the TV-OUT option meanwhile, it is enough for me...

@AVI6520
You're right. I waited like your says.Im not authorized person of KORG.
I can say only "-I know exacly what is the new revize of OS2. I know exactly Which new things are for what." You sould not to believe to me of course. I mean; be ready to any suprise of new version OS2.

For example:
KORG didnt say like; "We are working on new version for OSxxx. It'll be so good OS.etc..." I didnt see any time . And you?

We say ; "-Stones can falldown too, Bear can come on too" in TURKEY

Ah..
I can not say feature for your TV-OUT option for lyrics. But there isnt any problem for video out option. There isnt any bug for this sub for 1.60 too. Do not any hesistate.

Sorry my poor english

Sorry to doubt Konficyus's "pearls of wisdom", and thereby to cause any offense, but this series of posts from a newbie member of the forum is so far only "hollow bragging". It is without any factual substance and there are no means of verification.

I pray to god that one major fix in the new OS will be that if I upload a new style it will not sound mix with my old styles. Right now when I upload a new style it does not sound anything like if I format and then upload. If anyone has found solution for this please let me know because I have completely turned off by the keyboard. Its just not able to manage the files and folders. Again If anyone has figured out a way to do it properly I am still doing the following.

I upload new style. Then if I want to upload another style I format keyboard and then upload complete library and then upload new file. It takes about 20 minutes all together to do this. I am going insane with this and thats why i think the keyboard is worth crap at this point.
