I have just installed the exb radias board.
But it is hard to find instructions
how to download the 128 new RADIAS-infused?

please can somebody help me?

Hello, i have update my M3 to newest released version of M3 OS (1.2.0) with new EDS sound and of EXB-RADIAS OS (v.2.0).

now i would like to load also the new 128 "Radias-Infused-Combi", but how i have to do it?

ok, load the PGC file from USB key, but then, when selecting data to load from PGC file, what i have to choose?
All? or some specific bank?
and if i select all, all the preset combination will be overwritten or the PGC forseen to put this new combi in location where no preloaded data are in use or some pre-loaded combi are substituted by the new?
is there a way to choose bank where this combi will be loaded?

also i suggest to give more info like these on korg.com along with the zip file for the next update.

There's still some other stuff from M3 update on your stick ?
Backup existing data if it's important and erase stick, just copy the file 'radcomb.pcg' to it and put it in USB port.
Go to M3 MEDIA mode, select the file 'radcomb.pcg' and select Load on the screen. The new combis will be written to Combi Bank I-F by default, so if you might have some stuff in it you might want to move that around to another user bank before.

Well, if you follow the link to the .com Page postet by Daz above, there's only the 112 kb RADCOMB.ZIP inside. Maybe we're talking of 2 different download locations ?

Whatsoever, I'm new here and new to synths in general.
I'm glad to see some presence from Korg Techsupport taking time to post
here.

FWIW ... I couldn't see a different download on the Korg UK website, the only place this seems to available is from the Korg USA site. Just downloaded the zip and it does indeed only contain the PCG file.

The manual should explain how to load PCG files into your M3, and it's well worth gaining familiarity with how to navigate the contents of a PCG file and load it, just so you can safely backup and reload your own work. Loading this PCG file is no different from loading a PCG file you've saved yourself.

Personally I always save a PCG file containing everything in memory before loading these kinds of materials, just to ensure I have a backup.

Take a peek at the manual and also check out the functionality offered by all Korg workstations that allows you to not only load and save PCG files in their entirety, but also to navigate into the PCG files as if they were folders containing banks of data. If you select a PCG file in Media mode, you can hit the Open button to navigate into the file and see exactly what is stored in it. That's useful to determine what might get overwritten when you load it and it also allows you to selectively load individual banks or even individual programs or combis from the file, and load them to a destination bank of your choice. In fact if you navigate to an individual program or combi inside the file, you can audition that particular sound right in media mode. So definitely explore what you can do with PCG files, it'll save lots of headaches in future when loading these extra materials and also ensure you can confidently back up all your work.

Try looking at the "Media" section of the M3 Operation Guide. There is a section called Loading Data and it tells you to load PCG files and a whole lot more. In the PDF version it's on p.145. I don't have an M3 so can't tell you where it is the paper manual.

what you said in the previous posts is right, but when i tried to download on M3 the radcomb.pgc i browse what was inside (from Media page) and all the M3 Banks are showned to load

this means that radcomb overwrite alla combi banks? or partly overvrite all combi banks? hence does not install only in bank I-F has said before?
or all bank are always displayed even if nothing will be written?

sorry but also checking in manual this part is not clear and also in download no information is given about that. it is true that a back up is always necessary so to roll back, but having such information before could be usufull anyway.

Did you succeed now loading it ? Your EXB-Radias does show up with v2.0 on M3 Boot screen ?

USB stick containing the Combis in. I push "media" and the screen directly takes me to "radcomb.pcg" on the stick. I'm not going further down or somewhere else browsing its contents/structure with combi data, I just push load on filename "radcomb.pcg", ok. Screen says "writing to internal memory ..." and after this step I go back to combi mode Bank I-F containing the 128 combis now. No changes to preset combi banks, nothing overwritten whatsoever, works for me just as simple as that.
Have no clue what might be going wrong with yours ?

hello vector, this week has been awful, no time to try, i will do it this evening, but i guess everything will go fine as you describe.

my post was just to clarify the behaviour of M3 when loading PCG files, i.e. in this case it is correct that browsing the radcomb file, i see all the banks even if it seems that the file contains data only for bank I-F ?
