Expression pedal

I just bought an EXP-2 expression pedal. I can get it to work somewhat but can find no documentation that tells me how to specifically control it. I would like to use it like a wah wah pedal. Can it also control expressions in other programs driven from the X50? I have amplitube/Jimi Hendrix and would love to know how to use the pedal to control the stomps in that program.
Thanks.

You have to setup expression pedal as a controller of the wah effect, than look to the global settings, there is an entry for each pedal where you select how exactly you want to use your pedal (Global 0:System, Foot SW assign). Just look at the manual p. 88

Thanks. That was helpful.I can already go into the global settings... found that easy enough but assigning the expression pedal as a controller of the wah effect... I am lost. I will search back into the manual and see what I come up with.
Thanks. Any ideas on how to assign the expression pedal as a midi controller for Amplitube/Jimi Hendrix.... that is a software fx package... stand alone and a plug in for garageband.
Thanks.

Hi Iam4Macs,
what you are looking for is more of a MIDI or USB-MIDI controller expression pedal.
The EXP-2 does not have MIDI capabilities, so it cannot be connected to your computer via a midi interface.

Thanks for that. One would think an expression pedal hooked up to a synth with USB midi could control usb midi but evidently not. I guess it is only hardwired to control the internal controller functions on the synth.
Again, thanks.

If you want to use the expression pedal as a wah wah pedal, in combi or multi mode, insert the standard wah effect on the sound you want to control. In the next page, which shows the various parameters of the wah effect, you need to change one of the settings to Dmod, and the source to the expression pedal. Sorry if that's a bit vague but I'm in an internet cafe at the moment, so this is all from memory! Hope this helps....

It should be able to output MIDI, if you check in the manual in the MIDI implimentation section it may mention which cc# is for the asignable pedal.

Nonsense.. the EXP-2 connected through the X50 is more then capable of controlling external synth. Just set the right destination in Global mode on the 'Foot' page.

should be able to do it,
download something like midiox
and see if any controller information is being sent from the keyboard when playing with the pedal
or maybe see if there's a midi learn function in amplitube or whatever
activate it, select the control you want, and play with pedal and see if it works..
