How to connect a MICROkorg???

Post by trypset »

Ok so I have a ES1-MKII electribe sampler, and a microkorg. What would be the most efficient way to use the MIDI. Should I have the electibe setup as the slave, running into the microKorg. Or vise versa? How can i make beats and also run synth patterns at the same time? How is everyone else using the two together?

I use my microkorg patch data on my electribe keyboard parts.

one thing the guide does not mention is that you have to have your MK plugged in VIA midi @ Audio In, also, you have to have your Audio In part active and maybe set your gate time to the length of your apttern. EI 16 / 32 / etc / etc

so it would be MK is recieving MIDI from the electribe and sending audio to the electribe audio in? Exactly how would the cables be plugged in?

well in that case, dumb ass, you gotta be a lil bit more specific... and if your peanut brain works well you probably won't have too good of luck triggering synth notes with a drum sampler.... looks like the only thing to do would be to sync them and play on microkorg's arpregiator...

hmm how do we do that? oh wait he just told you...

it's not weather you ask a question or not, we will put our effort into it if it's a proper question. But we really don't like people who come here and don't read when there's like three topics in a row describing what you're looking for....

the manual will have a page dedicated to this...

there are hundreds of articles on the internet.

If you'd taken the time to read any of those places you wouldn't have this question and wouldve asked a better question and would've had it answered here in great detail. And reanswered if you didn't get it.

It's simple forum politics bro

might I say calling people names on one of your first topics is also not a very nice way to introduce yourself either... and besides we ain't pro's. If we were pros we wouldn't be surfing this forum.

It's too bad it's not possible to have the electribe switch the patches on the microkorg when when a new pattern is played.

well, you can.... but you'd have something that would alter t he midi like a computer or a midi solutions midi event processor box(a passive tiny box which is used to reroute midi messages)

1. Russsssssssssssssso got an ESX _again_ (yay!)

2. A flame war going on in the sleepy electribe forum (typical Internet)
