Audio in / audio out SPDIF

Post by khol »

Hi there,
I have a question for you guys.

First of all, im using optical SPDIF only.

Is it possible to input music to the M3 via SPDIF in, and then jam to that music so that the M3 sound ONLY comes out on SPDIF out?

I.e: i dont want the sounds from SPDIF in to be routed to SPDIF out.

I am not sure that I understand what you are trying to accomplish. What are you doing with the audio coming through the SPDIF in? By "jam to that music" are you wanting to listen to that music through the main outs (or the headphone outs)?

If that is the case, then I don't think that you can do what you are trying. I believe that the SPDIF output (and the headphone outs) mirrors the main stereo outs on the M3... they aren't a fourth set of audio outputs.

Maybe this isn't what you are trying though?

Im afraid so Twiddler.

You're spot on. I want to input a song on my inputs and be able to hear that song in my headphone at the same time as i play with it.

But i only want the tunes i'm playing to go to SPDIF out.

Kind'a figured i wouldnt be able to do such routing in the M3. Was hoping tho.
