how do you add effects to a lead sound?

Post by tachz15 »

hi everyone.. im just having a hard time trying to add effects to my lead sound. for example if u see jordan rudess... playing his lead he adds the pinch harmonic effect or he has different sounds coming out when he does the -y with his joystick. I dont know if im being clear. Its just i feel there is no expression in my leads so I want to add different effects to my lead. thank you for ur cooperation.

After selecting the effects page, click on the Routing tab.
Choose IFX1.

Select the Insert Effect tab.
Click on the arrow under IFX1 to choose an effect.
Turn it ON.

Select the IFX1 tab, to make changes to the effect settings.

I don't have my Triton or manual with me, but what you want is called D-Mod. I believe it is set up in the particular IFX tab, selecting which controller you want. Then of course you will want to edit the program itself, to make sure that controller will not be controlling something else as well.

I recommend the manual to walk you through this... if you don't have a hard copy, it should be available on the korg.com.

Best,
Jake
