Hi everybody,
anyone who knows if Oasys' are completely Made in Japan as the label on the back panel reports, or there are parts which are products of China?
Silly question.......may be.....

when i was inside the oasys, there were a few microchips like "GENESIS Display perfection" that said "China" on them

So what's you trick for Firth of Fifth ? I screw it up every time ! I have started making 'Genesis' combis on the O, do you have any tips or have some PCG's you can share ? Currently working on Squonk and Cinema Show and need all the help I can get.

I had a look at your website and listened to some of your MP3's - sounds like you guys have some fun. I am envious. Did you see Genesis on thir tour this year ?

I can't imagine any electronic product that doesn't have SOMETHING that is made in China/HongKong, even if it is just tiny parts used on larger parts.

At least by U.S. standards, the term "Made in xxx" means the majority of the manufacturing of the product has to be performed in that country.

The OASYS is assembled at Korg's factory in Japan: http://korgtech.co.jp/. Components may come from many different places.

That is an interesting website. I can't read Japanese, but looking at the headings I get the impression that KorgTech is advertising their services. Do they do work for other companies there?

Apparently so. I don't know much about it, actually, but my impression is that this company is run as a separate business.

There is a easy way to work out if anything is made in China.

Lick the paint. If you can taste lead then it is made in China.
