Should i sell all my studio, Except for my monitors and get an O, i reckon if i was to sell all id get about 5k ... the misses would be glad of an extra room ... IS IT REALLY THAT GOOD ??? I know there will be many stories of how great it is but is there anybody who has done a similar thing and regreted it ....

It's what I did and I don't regret it for a second! We moved into a smaller house, so the opportunity seemed ripe to pare down to just a few basics -- then the Oasys was announced and I thought it'd be a good idea to pare down to just that and a few basics :)

Of course, as with the best laid plans, I did decide that there were a couple of items I would regret selling (namely, my Evolver, MicroQ, JUNO and my CZ-1000!), so I haven't conserved that much space just yet...

But having the O as the center of production has been a godsend, and selling off everything extraneous has got me more focused on writing and producing tracks than I've been in a long time.

Good luck with your decision!

Well YES!!!!! :D
I believe that the O is the best machine out there! I think it is more than sufficient for a solo studio! I have only owned a Karma and a 01 but i have done plenty of research and found this to b the best!
The only thing is if you would be willing to spend the time to learn it. the learning curve is huge and you already know your current studio so that would be the biggest step.
To prove what i am saying, Michael Cretu (from Enigma) sold his old studio and purchased just the Oasys and a V-Synth! You can find the whole interview on the Enigma home page.
Hopefully this helps! :D

All of your synths or all of your studio? The OASYS could possibly replace all your synths, but not all of your studio.

For the synths, the OAYSY could replace any ROMplers, any virtual organs, any FM synths, and many VA synths. If you have some speciality synths in your collection, they might not be so easily replaced.

For the studio, the OASYS isn't the best option as a sequencer and multi-track recorder. A good DAW would be a much better option.
