I'm a new member to korgforums and will probably be here a lot in the near future as I will be receiving my Korg TR61 soon.
re: midi connections: I will be connecting my korg to my yamaha digital grand 300. If I understand right, I can make the Korg play the yamaha sounds or make the Yamaha play the Korg sounds? depending on which way I connect the "In" or "Thru" cables? the out from the second keyboard will go to my mixer then to computer laptop?right.

Theres lots of good people in here who can help.

The basic principal of what your trying to do is conncet the midi out of the Korg to midi in on the Yamaha and listen to the Yamaha's output to get a Yamaha sound, or the other way round to get a Korg sound.
