Hello, I am a guitarist that is thinking about getting a rythmsynthdrummachine... i read somewhere Korg electribe might be what I am looking for..

so i checked out the price for the latest emx/esx and its about 6-700 euro... i was thinking of something cheaper.

On ebay I can get the above mentioned equipment for about 400-500 euro, second hand or ex demo...

Also I saw this one, the Korg Electribe ER-1MK2 for a price of 120-150 pounds (would be around 200-250 euro)... do you think it is worth it, or I should go for the latest model?

Any suggestion is welcome... thanks

Are you just using it as a drum machine? i think the ER-1 or the ES-1 would be good for you. But if you need more than that, like synth sounds and effects etc then go for the ESX/EMX but they will cost you a fair bit.

I think the ES-1 is great, it lets you just import your own drum sounds and use it like a drum machine. Not what your needs are though so hope this helps.

Guitar Center in San Diego sold me a EMX for $400.
It's great.
I've owned alot of gear and this is one of my all-time favorites.
A joy to use.
Just read the manual a time or two (if at all) and start pushing buttons and turning knobs.
You'll be creating some really cool trippy stuff in no time.
