Hi, I’ve had all sorts of problems with my win 11 studio PC last few days
I use my Kronos X 61 as an external input device to cubase 15
But, adding/installing the Kronos driver via the korg USB installer app causes the Windows registry to corrupt and no midi inputs are then displayed in vsti or cubase after that
So for the time being, I’ve had to take the x61 out of the studio.
Running mid fix Reg on the pc put the registry back to working again… but what I wanted to know is, is there a generic driver that I can use with the Kronos to simply send midi information into the PC I don’t need Audio just the usual notes velocity et cetera from an external controller. And if so, where do I get it? And how do I install it?
Thanks

Re: Adding generic kronos usb driver
Windows 11, 24H2 or later, comes with MIDI driver and MIDI Services that don't need the Korg MIDI drivers to be installed. The Korg news article is here, together with instructions to uninstall the Korg MIDI drivers:
