Trinitro-Korg Tr-rack Having a hard time here

Post by philip »

So, after all these years I bought it back

Decided to upload my PCGs

Opened in Trinitro, pushed send to trinity - and nothing, it’s just freezing and that’s all
The only way it sends smth is to send one by one, patch after patch…But after 8-10 patches in a row it freezes again..and it’s a very long process
I’m using the same setup as 10 years before, everything was great back then

Win7-Midex-TR

This TR has a very low SN…Maybe early models had some midi issues?
:x :x :x

Anyways>>>>Can you guys help whith some advise??

Also:

1) Is there a chance to convert PCG to SYSex
2) How to save all your banks in SYSex format directly from the TR??
3) Is there any other software to transfer PSG files to a Trinity?

Hi, late last year I bought a tr rack that occasionally froze. After much investigation I numbered it down to bad firmware. I've been meaning to do a writeup on how I upgraded it, I'll try and get round to it in the next few days, need to jog my memory and find out what software I used and what commands. It involved a custom cable and a computer with a serial port and a DOS emulator.

I've been working on a ctrlr panel for it too, although I haven't included bulk upload/ download facilties, just individual patches. I might look into adding that, i was thinking about it anyway. Patch loading is working fine though.

Are you getting the sys error message? And can you trigger it with normal midi messages like cc or fast note data?
