Korg M3 - touchscreen misalignment issue - anyone here know

Just got offered a cheap Korg M3, but apparently has this touchscreen issue, as advised by the seller - I've not personally seen it.....top half touch functions align ok, but lower third need to be pressed a little below the actual tab on the screen.
So of course the lower down you go the worse it gets, to a point where you run out of screen to tap.
Is anyone here familiar with this, and more importantly is there a fix? (if not, that's probs why it is so cheap!)

Try performing a touch screen Calibration. It can be accessed from the Global P0: Basic Setup page.
If the above is impossible because of the screen's mis-calibration, then press Global, press EXIT twice, hold down the Enter button and press 4 on the numberic keyboard.
Good luck.

You can take it to a service center to get the touch panel replaced.
Depends on how cheap the price is of course.
Even if the calibration works , it will not last for too long as the touch panel seems to be already almost dead.So keep in mind that you ll have to replace it sooner or later anyway..
A new touch panel (if you can install if by yourself) is cheap enough (like 20euros for a decent one, to OEM specs).
Hope you find yourself in a good deal and if you get it , enjoy it!

There are plenty of screens on eBay and instruction videos on YouTube
I seem to remember the trickiest part was sourcing the narrow double sided tape for securing the screen.
Check the videos first to see what's involved and then take the replacement slow and steady. I think it took about 45 minutes and it totally transforms the usability of the instrument. Good luck.

KORG M3 Touchscreen Replacement

Hi Folks,
First ever posting!
Rather chuffed with myself, as I just replaced the knackered M3-73 touchscreen. Followed a YouTube clip (the oldest, probably)... took it slow and made copious notes (as an ex-IT professional does!!).
After three hours, turned it on... voila - worked a treat...didn't even need calibrating. Really wasn't confident that a keyboard as old as this would still work...but it did.
Brilliant order/delivery service from MOUSER. They couldn't confirm that it was the correct screen for the KORG M3...but I ordered TWO anyway and they arrived within a few days.
If you want one, it's: Fujitsu N010-0554-T009
Just wanted anyone owning an M3 that all is not lost.
Oh, one final point! The chap on YouTube had to peel of a protective cover. The Mouser ones don't appear to have the aforementioned cover...so beware!
Cheers all!
