Overdubbing patches

Post by methusala »

Hi,

I would like to know the position before I do this.

I want to load Stephen Kay's Catalyst 1 & 2 onto the Combi User Bank B. The first 70 slots are already used. I would like User Bank B only for Catylist 1 & 2. Can I do:-

A. Transfer the 70 slots to another bank and then load 1 & 2 OR

B Overdub those slots with 1 & 2

I wouldn't want to foul anything up.

Thanks.
PATRICK
I'm ok when I get to the music. The Oasys 88 sees to that.

If memory serves me, you need to move those seventy sounds in Combi User bank B first. Especially if you want to have them available. Then load Stephen's Catalyst 1 and 2 into the User bank B. Before you do any changes save all your Banks to disk, just in case you do not get the results you intended. That way you can get back to where you started by reloading your "save all" from that disk. 8)

Again, save all first. That way you can always get back to original if the changes don't meet your expectations.

nitecrawler. Thanks for replying so soon. It is so good to me that we Oasys owners are still loving this machine that we will help others. Instinct tells me you are right. If Stephen confirms, I'm in.

Again,
Many thanks. I think you're right.
