Can anyone give me a step by step or video on how to set up vocoder? Also is there any way to route microphone audio out separately? Thanks you all have always been very helpful.

Just tried this on my PA4X - and it does work:-

Here's an example of what worked for me in SOUND mode:

• Select SOUND "Movie Str.1 DNC"
  Insert mic into mic input
  "Mic Volume Button" MUST be OFF
  Talk into mic and adjust the input with the gain knob next to the Mic input socket
  Make sure you get a signal (green) and avoid "red"
  Press MENU and select EFFECTS
  Top left select INSERT FX (Orange box)
  Using the drop down menu select the "FILT:Vocoder" effect
  Your Mic will now be automatically directed to this effect and NOT the voice Processor
  Make sure the INSERT FX is "ON"

At this point the vocoder should work fine then you can mess around with adjustments to suit like INSERT FX "SEND" etc...

I cannot find a way of directing this SOUND to output 1&2

Here's an example of what worked for me in STYLE PLAY mode:

• Select STYLE and KEYBOARD SET as required
  Press MENU and select MIXER/TUNING
  Select INSERT FX tab
  Above UPPER 1 switch ON INSERT FX
  Beneath that, Press the "x" GREEN box and select the "FILT:Vocoder" effect
  Your Mic will now be automatically directed to this effect and NOT the voice Processor

Same deal now - make the adjustments you need.
You can save these as KEYBOARD SETs or SOUNDs as required
