Hello guys ! Far now, I made my styles in Cubase as midi and importing in Korg Pa4 with smf, and everytime worked.
Now I am using Logic Pro. In Daw everything is working smoothly, without problems. I set up the markers, bounced every track to be only one region/track. But when I want to import the midi file into Pa4, an error occurs sayin : "Read Command Failed".
I tried differents ways but no success. If i export only one track of entire session is working fine.
If i am exporting all session into one midi file, everytime i got this error (to be mentioned that in cubase i had no problems at all).
If anyone can give me an advice it would be helpful
Thanks!

Re: Importing midi file command error
I vaguely remember that someone else mentioned this issue years ago. The ultimate finding was that for some reason LOGIC was exporting the file as a midi type 1...instead of midi type 0. With Pro Tools you just have one option for exporting a midi file. You choose which midi type and that's it. Apparently with Logic there's more than one way to do that.daviddd_93 wrote:...But when I want to import the midi file into Pa4, an error occurs sayin : "Read Command Failed"....
See if you can search the forums for that Logic thread.

Indeed that's the problem...Sam CA wrote:I vaguely remember that someone else mentioned this issue years ago. Logic will export as type 0 only one track. So I just found a solution as exporting multiple tracks from logic as format 1 and get a software that can easily converting it as format 0. From first attempts it worked like a charm
Hopefully in the future Logic will implement that type of export (Cubase and Protools can do that), or the next gen of Korg arranger will be able to import format 1
Thanks for your reply !
Best wishes!

You can export all tracks as format 0 in Logic Pro X.daviddd_93 wrote:...Logic will export as type 0 only one track. ...
But you need to select all tracks and all parts (midi events) and then export as format 0.

As Sam CA , and BR wrote, you can do it.
Some details are in a previous thread.

Some of the key points was that you need to set up Logic to export type 0 midi file by the preferences. That applies to exporting a single track. So you need to merge all tracks to a single track before exporting. It is no hassle once you know how to.
