audio sample rate recommendation

Hello I have hundreds of samples to insert in my PA4X. And before making any kind of error, I would like to know what frequency and bit rate are recommended.
They told me that if I used the maximum rate (16 bit, 48 kHz), the keyboard could be heavy, remembering the large amount of samples that I will use. And the space used would be larger.
What do you say? Thanks in advance

Marco , PaSeries are using KSF files monophonic protocol which is strictly 16 bit and 16KHz , so anything you will import will be translated to that sampling rate
and that you were told is inaccurate since size resultant will be always the same !
According to my lab tests , 48KHz waveform import proved to be the best translation to KSF format with more frequencies therefore this is the recommended
format to use for importing samples in Pa4X.
Hope this helps

hi I have been searching for the definitive answer to what the resolution of the factory sounds in the PA keyboards actually is you quote here that its 16bit 16k does that mean that the sounds are actually low resolution , so if you have a 24 bit 44khz sample it is compressed in a lossy format to 16\16? I have a 5x which accepts wav files but can only record mp3 so if the sounds in the keyboard are all 16/16 is there any point in trying to record at a higher quality?

My answer was about importing/recording samples in both Pa4/Pa5X , actual recording Styles audio is in lousy audio Mp3 format.
All power users record audio of styles via audio outputs.
Importing samples is recommended for both at 16 bit / 48KHz , sampling rate of audio recording is also 16 bit.
