Sort of goodbye...

Dear all,

After about 12 year of playing different Korgs and being a member here at the forums, a week ago I sold my PA4X.
Not that I was unsatisfied with this fantastic machine, I had it over 3 years and enjoyed almost every second with it.

But I took a dive in the deep and bought a very nice digital piano.
Throughout the years I always liked playing piano sounds best.
So the time had come for me (so I felt) to start practicing my skills on a 88-key piano and try to bring them to a higher level.
Unfortunately I have no room for both the PA4X and a piano, so I had to decide between the two (which took me about half a year).

A big thanks to all the people who helped me with all sorts of questions etcetera throughout the years.
I will still visit these forums now and then, but much less than before.

I wish you all the very best and maybe, one day I will return to a Korg product and to these great forums.

Keep safe & keep enjoying making music!

Hey Frans

Sorry to lose you but fully understand your decision.
It has been so good to have you here as a valued forum friend.
Thanks for all your input and involvement

Who knows, the PA6X may entice you to return in a few years.

Stay safe and take care

Pete :D

(P.S. would love to know which digital piano you chose)

Dag Frans,

Veel succes en bovenal veel plezier met je nieuwe piano.
De overstap lijkt mij een hele uitdaging.

Groeten
Ben

Best wishes with your DP.

Out of interest what did you buy?

To not completely say goodbye to any form of backing, you might take a look at an inexpensive arranger module (used BK-7m’s aren’t that hard to find) and hook it to the piano.

Roland’s have an excellent piano tracking mode (3 notes for a new chord sustain up, 5 needed when sustain down) that works very well, and a simple bass and drums backing can make playing full piano feel a lot less ‘lonely’!

Thank you for all your kind words!
I hope to enjoy my Kawai CA79 just as much as I did my Korgs!
Practise, practise, practise...
