I personally write styles directly on keyboard using my midi guitar for guitar parts..I don't see the need to use an external editor which adds complexity as you need to be near both the pc and the keyboard itself...
The event editor is pretty good too although it takes more time to find a specific event that may have gone out of time.
On the other side , for sampling i do use the pc as i need to do complex things and operations that the keyboard can't do (as pre-process my samples with efx like compressors and equalizers).
For this i m using propellerhead reason 10.5 currently.
Of course these are just my personal preferences!Any person can use whatever feels and fits better to his/her needs.

I use Nuendo as i am used to it ,but Cubase or studio One is fine too .
Actually whatever you know to work with easier and smooth.
I started creating Midifiles back in 90’s using Atari ST FM and Cubase of course, and I can tell midi protocols and MTC really worked perfect then . Not anymore with newer Daws .
Back then you could use arranger as master and Cubase as slave ,starting playing on arranger could easy start recording in cue on Cubase ,and use the arranger’s sounds for playback while recording,real-time.
Nothing you can do with usb midi nowadays .

Well i,m a guy that had hands on Crumar, Fairligth Emu etc, so i,m god on midi producing and so, BUT, i,m old Cubase user, since 1990.
After i moved to MAC it,s much better to use Logic, but problems are that there is not much template files and there is not god connection between Logic and 4 X.
Therefor i asked this Question.
Is here any Logic user for making styles on it?
I love the Cubase when making or just editing and resaving any styl, I just work faster in Logic Pro X.
Thats why i ask this.
I have Both, LOGIC&CUBASE , But i m in need of help advice for making styles like in CUBASE.
Ayone here who can help me?
Thanx all

try connecting via midi cables instead of midi usb .
Usb doesn't work nice with pc either . if you have to use usb, make sure your korg drivers are updated

that's because you have chosen a style that has GTR tracks and not ACC tracks ,or there are different chord recognition on the Variation you are at.
Try using an empty style or a style that doesn't use GTR tracks and make sure they are all for example at C major for variation 1 for example

thank you so much for your reply
i tried an empty style but it still sounded messed up. i will try again and double check the gtr mode and other settings and get back to you
thanks again!
