Boosting Microphone output ?

....using a Shure WH20 dynamic headband mic. (1/4 inch jack plug) is there a pre amp or gadget or any way I can increase the output going into the mic input on my PA900 ?
I have to have the mic volume up to 100% to balance the vocals to my backing when gigging...
Using a Shure SM56 boom stand mounted mic it gives a lot more output and a much better balance....
